New Year Greetings

It's been a wonderful year 2009 for me and those people around me. I'm looking forward to a more prosperous and blessed 2010.

During the holiday season we were greeted and responded to our friends and relatives on the wonderful Christmas celebration and for the New Year to come. In relation to this, I've gathered a few text messages and decided to post them on my blog. They are somehow unusual and unique to my own way of greeting. They are just in Cebuano dialect.

"Tabunan ka man ug Dumptruck sa problema, i-duot ka man ug Backhoe sa mga pagbakho, pisaton ka man ug Pison sa kapait, kanang tanan proseso lamang aron monindot ang Highway sa imong Kinabuhi. Bulahang Bag-ong Tuig."

"Sa 2010 akong iampo nga bokbokon kas suerte, tamparoson kas kwarta, itukmod kas maayong kapalaran, mag antos kas kaadunahan, kosokosoon kas mga kalipay ug libat-libaton kas mga kalami. Bulahang bagong tuig nimu ug imong Pamilya."

These greetings are just one of the few out there whom you may find it unusual and funny but the real content of the message actually makes you smile. We may think it as an impossibility but nevertheless we can always think the other way around.

Happy New Year to Everyone!

The Annual Blogger

Before I will celebrate my 1st year anniversary as a blogger, in which I only posted once T_T, let me share to you something that is just part of my working environment.

SUMS
Learning Resource Unit

The Learning Resource Unit of the Silliman University Medical School serves as a library and cyberlibrary at the same time. Students makes use of their time reading and browsing online journals, medical literatures and other reviews.

Below are the pictures of the medical students who are making use of the facility as part of their Teaching Learning Activity to browse updated medical journals and literatures.

The Learning Resource Officer (4th from right) assists these students if they have questions or technical problems. These 2nd year medical students are from the Bioethics class.

To my subcribers/readers:

I hope I can keep you updated on my field of expertise soon. As for this year, I can't really consider myself as a blogger since I only posted once but for the days to come I believe I can go all the way! :-)

pXP - Personal Blogs

I've been quite familiar with blogging and the word "blog" itself but it didn't really bother me much, not until today. It's been a couple of months that I did spent my time with computers and the internet. I used to have some personal website before from different free webhosting site but it didn't really offer me much room for expressing personal or someone's experiences. Now that blogging is very much appreciated by internet geeks, computer wiz, and people of different age groups who knows how to navigate the internet browser, information availability is almost always at hand. In just a matter of minutes any kind of information you need is there. It may not be the blog sites that has these information but for some the sources are created from or within the bloggers.

As an IT professional, being with computers almost everyday makes life more easier yet complicated for people who have them first hand, most especially the old ones. But nevertheless people of different age have different learning strategy and only a matter of time in which these things can be easily learn.

Having this first personal blog of mine really scares me sometimes. I'm not sure what the cause would be but no matter what you would comment on this blog, I sure do respect that. This blog of mine would basically deal with some but not all experiences of my life. Having this blogspot also serves as a venue for me in expressing my feelings and experiences. Perhaps it can be considered also as a place of stress relief.

For everyone out there, it's always nice to hear and read also from your blogs. May this blogging gives us a more positive ways making convenience in life. Let it be a bridge to all of us to be connected together through our experiences and inner thoughts and most especially sharing our special talents and gifts in life. As we continue on our day to day experiences, may you always have a smile once in a while inspite of the problems we encounter everyday.

Happy Blogging!
